We are currently seeking to recruit New Business Intake (NBI) Analyst. 


The Role

NBI analyst or anti-money laundering (AML) analyst conducts client risk assessments, investigates and monitors on ongoing basis client profiles, financial activity and transactions in accordance with Irish and EU law and other solicitor obligations. They are responsible for helping MHC comply with all anti-money laundering laws, rules and regulations. This dedicated team will be responsible for the creation of all new matters and will assist in ensuring the Firm’s compliance with conflict processes and AML procedures.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Opening new matters - completing new business intake process in accordance with our conflict and AML policies;

  • Drafting appropriate engagement letters;

  • Ensuring the client and the party liable for fees are correctly identified;

  • AML – assisting the firm in analysis and administrative tasks required to ensure compliance with our AML procedures;


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Law or related degree with 2.1 or better;

  • 1+ year KYC / relevant experience;

  • Ability to build relationships across the firm;

  • Attention to detail;

  • Proactive and tenacious approach to work;

  • Methodical and organised approach to work;

  • Experience opening new matters is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
