Position: Legal Assistant


The Firm

Mason Hayes & Curran LLP is a leading Irish law firm based in Dublin with representative offices in San Francisco, New York and London. We are a top tier law firm with extensive knowledge and experience in all areas of Irish business-related law and with particular focus on the Energy, Technology, Financial Services, Built Environment, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Charities sectors.


In this role, the successful applicant will provide legal administrative support to busy teams while gaining experience within a large corporate law firm. This role would suit legal graduates, ideally with some legal office based experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal administrative support to solicitors, senior associates and partners;

  • Preparing documents from precedents and processing completed documents as instructed by fee-earners;

  • Ensuring legal diaries, trackers and case management systems are accurate and consistently maintained;

  • Assisting with the transactions and deals of the department, including post completion matters;

  • Responding flexibly and appropriately to team requirements with an understanding of prioritisation and urgency;

  • Carrying out legal research; and

  • Assisting with projects. 


Candidate Requirements

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in law or another relevant area;

  • Experience supporting a large team in a busy environment;

  • Excellent organisational skills and a proactive attitude; and

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a team;

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
