The Role


This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a specialist area in a top tier law firm and to join the only standalone products team in Ireland - working with some of the world's leading companies. We are seeking ambitious Associates and Senior Associates to join our highly regarded Products Teams. The successful candidate will work with clients on the application of domestic and EU regulatory regimes throughout the lifecycles of their products. We have unique multi-jurisdictional experience in high value product liability litigation, with particular expertise in the healthcare industry.


Candidate Requirements


  • 2 years + post qualification experience and for the senior associate role candidates would require 5 years + in life sciences, consumer products, healthcare – contentious and non-contentious;
  • Experience in product liability, particularly Life Sciences product liability defense, will be a distinct advantage;
  • Experience in life science advisory work will be a distinct advantage;
  • Candidates with defense litigation in the insurance sector will be considered;


Responsibilities of the role include

 

  • Advising pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers on all regulatory aspects of their digital health and software medical device portfolios.
  • Providing EU regulatory advice to developers of innovative digital health solutions seeking to launch their products on the EU market.
  • Advising medical device and food and beverage clients on regulatory investigations.
  • Representing clients in regulatory enforcement actions, civil claims and criminal proceedings.
  • Managing complex product liability litigation, both at group and multi party level in a national and global context.
