Mason Hayes & Curran LLP wish to appoint a lawyer to our highly regarded Public, Regulatory and Investigations team. We are seeking an ambitious solicitor (4+ years PQE) with strong general experience in litigation and other contentious matters who has a personal commitment to effective dispute resolution. This opportunity will require an enthusiasm for lateral thinking and ability to identify and navigate risk whilst delivering excellent legal advice to our clients. The caseload is highly varied and includes advising on the defence of claims involving wrongful acts giving rise to psychological trauma, contested property rights and reputation protection. The successful applicant will be energetic and passionate with a keen interest in human behaviours and ideally will be versed in the potential of mediation and alternative dispute processes.

In addition, experience in any of the following areas will be a distinct advantage:

·      Administrative and/or constitutional law;

·      Statutory interpretation;

·      Judicial review and other litigation;

·      Information law, such as freedom of information and data protection;

·      Sectoral and/or professional regulation; and

·      Investigations and inquiries.
