North America Business Origination Manager

The role

We are currently recruiting for a North America Business Origination Manager to support the Mason Hayes & Curran (“MHC”) partners with responsibility for US business origination. This will be achieved through researching leads and gathering market intelligence and supporting fee earners to plan and implement effective business origination initiatives. The successful candidate will be based in North America and will have the opportunity to network with existing and prospective North America based clients and contacts of MHC and to work with the MHC lawyers that assist with the firm’s international business origination.

Candidate requirements

  • Based in North America.

  • Experience of working in a role that involves market research, lead spotting and lead generation.

  • Strong research, trend spotting, competitive analysis and spread sheet analysis skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative and build productive relationships.

  • Be a team player with a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

  • Flexible and willing to support multiple functions and business units.

Responsibilities of role:

  • Finding and researching leads, gathering market intelligence and undertaking market analysis.

  • Reporting leads to fee earners and working with them to convert leads into work.

  • Carrying out ad hoc and targeted market research pieces.

  • Attending events and arranging meetings to expand MHC’s network.

  • Assisting fee earners to arrange meetings for business origination trips and accompanying fee-earners at meetings.

  • Assisting with the preparation of North America focused marketing material and sharing it with relevant contacts.

  • Arranging for the capture and maintenance of centrally accessible regional contact and market intelligence databases and information packs.
